3rd December's Rally - Indian Youth's Biggest GIMMICK...

i am sure the subject might have bounced you off your seat... but trust me by the end of the mail you would feel the same...

lets analyze yesterday's rally... a group of "youngsters" "celebrities" came together to protest against the "government"...

a silent peach protest which turned into a rally... every 1 was trying to outsmart each other by speaking more sarcastic slogans....

this was "INDIA's TOMORROW"... the youth who want to bring change...(PS: Only if they get a chance)

All of a sudden a bunch of college junkies feels a sense of patriotism... why? just because.. it wasnt a "PROTEST" ... it was a "MEDIA EVENT"...

we say that today india facing worst problems like "Corruption" "Terrorism" etc... but what i strongly feel is the biggest problem of india is.. the electronic media misusing the "FREEDOM OF PRESS/SPEECH"

The terrorist attack was turned into an own version of "TV SOAP OPERA" by each and every news channel... every news channel trying to beat each other with there "KHAAS KHULASA" "BREAKING NEWS" and what not...

Yesterday's rally was not organized to protest against any politician or any thing... but was a cheap way to earn publicity over someone's grief...

I dont know what outrages me more... what terrorist did or what the so called "youth of india" is doing...

what the city or for that fact the country needs is no "NAARE BAZI" or any reaction over what has happened..... but a sense of action...

Patriotism isnt a state of mind.... nor does it mean to kill or die for the nation... its about doing something for the nation... the people who attended the rally yesterday... as every of them how many hav done some thing for the nation??

All the country want is every individual to be a responsible citizen... things would fall in place on its own...

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... Stop it guys.. stop doing things to be popular....

Start doing things for the nation... it needs you... it actually does

Well what ever is written out there is 100% true. People today do not understand what patriotism mean, but all they need is some publicity which they try to get by any means.

I very much like the statement you made that Patriotism does not mean to die or get killed for the nation. It just mean to do something for the nation.

So guys and girls lets not be like our politicians and really not get into this circle of publicity.

i also wanted to add tht it had put an added responsibility on the shoulders of police of securing the area and ppl...
they are already under stress...
and thn so many ppl together on a certaibn spot... they must have pulled back forces frm so many places just to provide security over here...
and apart frm dat how many of these ppl actually went and donated blood to the injured ppl...
hw many went takin fruits to the patients rather thn lighting candles...
and hw many of them actually go and vote for the candidate they think is right...

CORRECT...!!!

I wasn't a part of ystrday's rally, but went through the news channels 2 hav a glimpse. And to be literal, I tuned off those over-hyped media channels within just 5 mins.

Wat made me more irritated was the fact that no one was really doing it for the nation (except some of them, i must agree). I had some of my frnds in the rally and all they were actually doing was calling people up and instructing the direction os their current locations so that they cud spot them on TV...!!!!

Change and I mean a BIG-CHANGE is wat we need in our-selves, our-thinking and in our-actions.

I heard Sonu (Niigaam) on a Radio station ystrday speaking about the need for a body that wud directly addresss and question the POLITICIANS, unlike the media which merely focuses on it's T.R.P.s. In flow wid Sonuji's comments I believe, there should actually be such a civic body, but shud be run by a "private firm". Only then will the politicians hav some pressure on them and MAYBE one day we cud say good-bye to corruption and eventually to crime and terror.

shraddha said...

i respect your thoughts friend... but yesterdays rally wasn't a cheap way to earn publicity over someone's grief...
That was the way we have shown, we r together... we dont wanted to show nation tht we r doing some great work... but we r thr to do somethng for the nation...
let me ask you guys... hw many of you hv gone thr to help ppl, to donate blood or went taking fruits for thm?
I again repeat we havn't done gr8 work which you ppl may have done... but atleast we have shown unity whichever way may b...
So y to point out fingers at each other? lets start with ourselves... lets go against corruption...
If each nd every individual will keep tht in mind together we can make difference...

After reading all your post my question to the one who has started this discussion is that do you really think we the Gen-X guys/girls will do all this for publicity as wat politicians do? Also if you really want to do something for the nation then do lets us know what change you have brought towards the country what minute thing you have done towards the country? I think if you would have done it you would have had never written on your blog do it and then write it.
No Hard feelings dear but the thing wat shradda has mentioned is absolutely sensible & quite right.

Hi, the initiator ..
I wud like to tell u tht i was a part of yest's rally n trust me dude tht wasnt for a fame ... may b one of the sermon here may hav found few guys tryin to come in front of the media.. but out of 100 thr were 95 sensible guys who were actually in rage .. quite aware of the seriousness , n the cause of the rally. This wasnt done for a show-off .. this was done so tht our voices reach out to our poiliticians .. to show them tht indian youth isnt sleeping n not illiterate to not understand wat r they upto.. this was to show our solidarity.. religions really do not matter to us .. we r first INDIANS .. thr were muslims too.. n we all stood hand in hand protesting against our government, our nieghbouring nations .. peeps, let us not point out fingers to each other n ask wat hav u done or wat hav i done .. lets keep encouragin ourselves, develop our thought process our spirits n com forward to be a part of every action to help our country b a better place !!

you have to see this as 50 -50, cuz maybe there were some people who did come on camera for publicity but i think mostly everyone was there just to prove a point that we will not take it anymore and that something has to be done to keep us mumbaikars safe. but the main point what i want to put across is that we should not forget this, we should not just go back to our normal lives, we have to hold the politicians accountable. the first thing what everyone can do is vote for the right peson in the next year election..

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

well the person who ask me what i hav done for the country...

i ask the ppl who visited the rally what hav they done for the country?

for me.. for past 5 yrs... i hav adopted 9 street kids education... not only do i pay for der education... but personally go and teach them...

being a hotel management student... my set of frnds every sunday... have an open lunch for underprivledged... in diffrent part of the city...

apart along with the female faculties of my college we hav initiated a movement in the area of dadar against domestic violence.. so please dont question my vulnerability... my actions speak louder den my words...

i dont need a protest or rally to make my work recognised... as i say..

BE A REBEL FOR A CAUSE... Not Applause...

simon its pretty easy to lay back at ur house's couch... n comment...

n sing the la la song of "National unity" and "youth would bring the change" "all we want is a chance"

my dear friend i would like to tell u... the change doesnt need a chance... or an opportunity..

change is an event where ur guilty give up... n goodness take over!!

for the guys who say it wasnt done for a show off..

tell me y were news channel and other news agency's takin sponsorship to cover the event??

y were "celebrities bein paid to give their byte"

n my dear frnd... i was talkin as an indian itself... i havent yet discriminated on the basis of religion...

guys get u freakin figures rite before speakin... coz ppl speak sense here!!

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

My dear friend.. change is nt brought by shouting slogans or signin campaigns..

change is brought by doing something at the root level...

i would tell u guys about 1 of my friend..

Amey Gupta... a Butler in Oberoi..

he had nearly escaped the hotel on the day of attacks... on receiving a call from a who was stuck at 17th floor this guy ran to save him...

on his way return he not only rescued his friend but also 8 guests.. including joseph anne, an australian teenager...reaching the lobby level.. they had open encounter with the terrorist... in the attack.. 7 guests died including joseph anne... amey was severely injured...

hey was rushed to bombay hospital... the guy lost his 1 eye... 3 fingers of his feet and 1 arm...

he doesnt have parents...

listening to her young son's death.. cathy anne mother of joseph rushed to india... when she heard the story.. about how a random indian tried to save his son..

and who doesnt have any 1 to look after him...

she has been takin care of tht guy...

this is the lessons we have to learn...

i never personally knew amey gupta before dis...

but my daily visit to hospitals made me know bout it...

people who visited the rally yesterday... even after googling if they can tell me the name of all the 14 officals who passed away in the attacks...

dude... rather den diverting your energy in the protest rally.. if you would have done something for the people who are in hospitals dealing with the aftermath of the attacks..

you surely would hav brought change

atleast in their life..

change doesnt need a chance... it needs a voice!! an innervoice to awaken your guilty self conscience

Unknown said...

i dun understand y this guy is emphasizing on stuff like news channel, sponsorship by agencies n such stuff ... if the media shudnt b involved how do we convey our message to the ppl? thts the fastest medum i suppose !! n who's sayin tht u discriminated on the basis of religion? i was jus tryin to say tht we all stood united to show our solidarity ..

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

this guy is emphasizing on news channel and sponsorship n stuff like that coz this guy is outraged of the fact that the bloody news agency have made a soap opera of his beloved city's tragedy... is it simple enuff to understand now?

and what outrages him the most is the youth of today rather den doing something for the city... are actually supporting this bloody news channel under the name of

"today's youth is going to bring change"

Well let me mark some of your statements
Please, carefully mark
"a silent peach protest which turned into a rally... every 1 was trying to outsmart each other by speaking more sarcastic slogans....
this was "INDIA's TOMORROW"... the youth who want to bring change...(PS: Only if they get a chance)”
Do you really think everyone was outsmarting each other by passing more sarcastic remarks/slogans on the current situation?
No I don't think so, as that was the anger, everyone wanted to exhibit.
Also Next I don’t know whether you have observed the youths like you n me are aware of the present & the future of this country
Everyone is doing their best to be a good citizen. I ask here in this forum itself that how much we do in our day to day life to be a good citizen?(Whatever you do, even if you put the chocolate wrappers in to the dustbin) Everybody contributes towards it (rather also avoid corruption)& youths are specially doing good & gr8.
& YES we are proud of being the youths of India & “INDIA’s TOMORROW” who are making an effort to make a better place to live in.
Another Statement:
“Yesterday's rally was not organized to protest against any politician or any thing... but was a cheap way to earn publicity over someone's grief...”
On this statement of yours do you think that u the only clean & neat person?
We all were mad to go there & commiserate the brave hearts & if we do so that was a cheap way to do?
Take a break
What are you say?
See I have no personal grudges on you or anyone in this forum or in this country but one should also understand what exactly he/she should say.

Unknown said...

yeh .. n atleast one shud hav an ear to listen n value others' perception n ways to express ..
chuck it .. its waste to express our opinions here ...

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

We all were mad to go there & commiserate the brave hearts & if we do so that was a cheap way to do?...

lets take this one....

do you think so you did justice to the departed... by screaming slogans??

did you do something tht justified your act?? your anger?

“Yesterday's rally was not organized to protest against any politician or any thing... but was a cheap way to earn publicity over someone's grief...”
On this statement of yours do you think that u the only clean & neat person?

dude.. i aint here to prove m male mother terresa..

with this forum i expected to bring an awakening in the disillusioned youth who are falling prey of cheap media tactics and not been able to channelize thier efforts towards the upbringing of the country...

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

dude..

all ur expression values and perception are taken into consideration...

its not a personal attack on any1 here..

the only thing i wanna say is...

for your perception i have an answer...

but for my questions you guys dont have any answer.. so you guys are trying to defend it lamely...

dude... i didnt start this forum to satisfy my ego that i am right...

the reason y i made this forum was to channelize the youth of india's outrage...

be it in any form..

if any of my perception made u feel offended... i apologize with all my heart...

guys... lets not build diffrences amongst each other..

rather lets take this as a platform to bring awakenings amongst our fellow young indians

wat a rubbish thought..
this is the problem wid the citizens of india.. wen sum1 want to do something.. wen they want to mobilise the crowd.. wen they wan to tell the ppl sleeping that "rise up.. its high tyme u take a step against terrorism".. ppl like u call this an ACT TO GAIN MEDIA ATTENTION.. must say a pathetic remark.. if sumone is mobilising the crowd, you have to become the leader and ask them to follow not stand at one corner of the city, watch the act on tv and laugh at them. there was a bomb scare yest.. but nuthin stopped them frm reaching their destination..
wat u saw yest was the first step.. thru their slogans and banners they said something which i think as indians we shud have said long ago(to the ruling party which becums our so called govt)
"its high time u take care of our security our well being than renovating your houses ang buying new cars"
indis rite now needs young positive blood.. whu has seen the beta half of the world, how it works.. and not old politicians who can barely walk and are money hungry.. if u cannot be the one whu can rule.. be d one whu can support sumone n help them rule.. its the tyme to show the world dat together as a nation.. "yes we can"

yeah dude ...its absolute true ...yes todays public needs publicity...juz going der for havin fun in group and to get the fame....and i agree with shraddha as she has mention abt how many ppl went to give fruits in the hospital and how many of hv donated the blood instead of lightning the candle at Gate way ...

well....i wudn't say u r out of ur mind....but wat u wrote did throw me off my seat..

1. If u want to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....den maybe u shud present a solution that'll work, rite??
u havnt done dat.
2. If u want to make "youth" participate and do somthing for the better, wat better a lure than a media event?
3. Evn though some ppl looked at it wit a jaundiced eye, it did work for others, for one, it made me want to sign up for a training course wher i cud learn to protect myself. This'll defnatly help me if a situation like that ever arises.
4. Ur opinion aint wrong...dats just your way of lookin at issues...terrorism is sending us postcards wishing us a painful death n dats d whole point of it....ne event like d peace rally on 3rd decmber is a move in the positive direction...

So roll up ur sleeves dude....we got some major work to do ...

My dear friend,
I understand your concern about yesterday’s rally of directionless youth. I fully agree with you that this energy has to be utilized in a constructive manner. But let me clarify few points.
I don’t know whether you were personally present over there or not. If you were not, and you are cursing just based on whatever you could see on television, I must say, you are unfortunate to not have witnessed it. It was absolutely not an act for fame or popularity. It was certainly not. If you could see bites of interviews of the celebrities out there, you could have seen hardly handful of people peeping into the frame behind interviewee. Out of almost one and half lac people over there, somewhat like sixty odd people were trying to grab attention. Rest everybody was filled with a true emotion of anger and patriotism ; and mind me nobody’s patriotism was less than that of yours!
We must accept that media and journalism is one of the pillars of our democracy. Learn believing in somebody. The problem with we guys is we enjoy criticizing the most. Like most of us were doing the same with our leaders yesterday.
I say, we don’t want resignations… NO… we want answers from the same cowards who have played with our safety!
Ne’ways, let me appreciate your gesture of visiting hospitals and being into real action! My dear friend, our country needs everybody who is genuine… including U!!!

D Destructive Dr. Dang said...

hey pratik... i do myself belive that i was a bit unfortunate on not bein able to visit the rally...

you know why do i feel outraged of the rally?

it is not because who attended it... but the orgqanozer arranged it to gain publicity!!

demoralizing the geniunity of the youth who went der to showcase thier true anger and patriotism!!

you brought up a good point in der...

though only 2 out of 10 were out there to grab attention!!

at the same time 4 out of the rest 8 didnt know why were they there!!

they were their coz frnds were der or they were there coz they loved criticizing the ultimate power!!

anyways!!

i do agree with your point that media is a pillar of democracy!!

but electronic news channels hav been missusing and bloody manipulating thier "FREEDOM OF PRESS" which needs to b addressed!!

and yeah... rather den appriciating me for what i am doing... i would really request if any of you would like to volunteer... my appriciation is the smile of people... who's life i try to touch.. n try to bring a change!! but all alone i cant do much...

i need you...

my fellow indians... the same indians who are outraged with whatever has happened... same Indians who are more vulnerable than any other in this world!!

lets join hands to bring a change!!

Unknown said...

I am sure that whatever i write here the creator wld play with words and keep on defending himself .. i see the same trend to be followed in this blog .. this is definitely not what we call as "blogging" but still leme try my luck n express some of my views

now if he claims to be outraged more by the peace rally by "youth of india" then by the act of terrorists ...
i wld say he himself is trying to convince his own mind which is saying that "bloody! how come u miss being there?" (this is what my mind also said to me) yeah ... i also didnt go for that rally and i am cursing myself like hell for not being there.. but i dont think this was a GIMMICK..

again if the he says that everyone was trying to outsmart each other .. then what different is he doing here ? following the trend of the posts here and his replies to them i think the same for him

if he says that this rally was a cheap way to earn publicity over someone's grief... then may i know who all gained mileage from this rally ? which leader, celebrity or a common person gained the publicity for this rally ? but for sure i can name one person who is gaining mileage by this blog and gaining publicity over someone's grief...( u all know who it is right?)

I agree that the biggest problem of india is.. the electronic media misusing the "FREEDOM OF PRESS/SPEECH" but isn't blogging also a means of electronic media ? now if he claims he is trying to spread awareness then i wld say that he needs to rethink 100 times pointing a finger at the news channels .. even they might say that they are trying to spread the awareness of 1.5 lacs Indians to rest of the morons (including me) who prefered sitting idle at home n watch the whole scene on news channels...

if he has to say: "do you think so you did justice to the departed... by screaming slogans??" then i wld like to tell that my frnds were going to the rally n same time i saw the news of Bomb being found at CST station so i called them up n informed abt the same n asked not to go there.. they were abt to reach CST .. despite of the news that i gave to them they did not fear the deadth and got down at CST n kept their spirits high by attending the rally .. I seriously salute to the true emotion of anger and patriotism within them.. so will the Mr.creator still call it was a GIMMICK or a publicity stunt.... ??

i agree with ღ जाई ღ that peeps, let us not point out fingers to each other n ask wat hav u done or wat hav i done .. lets keep encouragin ourselves, develop our thought process our spirits n com forward to be a part of every action to help our country b a better place !!
i would like u all to post blogs for suggestions/ideas on what WE can do .. ya read carefully .. its "WE" that i mentioned .. as i have always believed "Its never I who wins.... its always WE who wins"
Its high time that Mumbaikars & even the Indians as a whole realize that the Bureaucrats & Political Lobby in India has failed.
26/11 clearly shows that the security in the country has NOT JUST LAPSED BUT COLLAPSED.
It is imperative that we step in & play a substantial role in steering our country in the right direction.
I invite you all to suggest some measures that we need to take to strengthen the Nation's Security.
I am sure we all have something to say ....

as i said i wasnt here to prove myself "MALE MOTHER TERRESSA"

and basically i aint pointing my fingers on any particular individual! its not even on news channels on whole..

its on the news channel who made TV SOAP OPERA OF THE EVENT

n they are making money on some'1 grief...

not the rally...

there has been severe miscomception about my post..

the things i tried to address for the rally goes unseen...

n the things i said about the news channel are been taken as my comments for the rally..

one of the news channel mentioned

"3rd DECAMBER-INDIAN YOUTH"S BIGGEST OUTRAGE" and thats where i made the title for the blog

"3rd DECEMBER-INDIAN YOUTH"S BIGGEST GIMMICK"

once again i would like to say that i never considered any particular individual... despite the fact who visited the rally or didnt... call them names...

you know even if every1 would try to do so... the city would be a better place to live...

i mean dude.. i come again with the same thing...

this blog wasnt to satisfy my bloody ego... nor m i manipulating wid words to protect myself or anything...

to be honest m too busy for all this...

and @ my dear friend crimemastergogo

i absolutely agree that blogging is a part of "ELECTRONIC MEDIA"

but i m not defeating its soul purose... a platform where separate individuals can post thier views ideas and interaction "electronically"....

on the other end... when i say that news channels are or rather "electronic news agencies" are manipulating thier "FREEDOM OF SPEECH/PRESS" its in reference to context that.. they are doing everything but what they are supposed to...

a news channel is for the citizens aid... its to enlighten the citizens with the facts happening around rather then drawing conclusion on the situation and then adding thier own "MASALA" to get the

"HUMARA SUN SANI KHES KHULASA"...

and thats what out rage me...

i wasnt against the rally.. i was against the way the rally;s organizer made money on the rally... betraying the sentiments of the protestors... and the way the news media covered it...

apart i felt bad about the fact was.. that the youth of india came together to "raise a voice"

thats a good thing...

but i expected that if the same amount of unity was shown to "DO" something.. it surely would have brought a change...

this is where i had to comment that

"YOUTH OF TODAY WANTS TO BRING A CHANGE (PS: IF THEY GET A CHANCE TO)"

guys as individuals and civil citizens... no1 expects us to fight at the war front...

but there are more vicious topics to deal wid... widin the nation...

lets try to change them at selfish personal level...

n pledge that even on personal levl.. we'd do with upmost sincerity...

you guys here are my frnds... my brothers in arms..

rather than pointing at each other..

lets stand up for a cause!!

m sorry to every1 once again.. if i hav offended!!

Its time we stop playing the blame game. We as masses are as disconnected from the reality as our politicians are. Rather then waiting for our politicians to change, we must change at personal level. As the saying goes, Power tends to Corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. But with the power comes responsibility and we should be vigilant about how that power is used by vested interest.

That post is written by something that is so stupid, if I took its tiny brain and rolled it down the edge of a razor blade, it would be like a lone car going down a six lane highway. Your ineffective imitation of good posting style only serves to illuminate your lack of substance, good taste, and decency.

The Anti-Moron™ software on my PC went crazy when I started to read your post. Does your train of thought have a caboose? Reading your post makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to. I am reminded of something relevant that Benjamin Disraeli said: "He was distinguished for ignorance - for he had only one idea and that was wrong."

I'm busy trying to imagine you with a personality. Maybe you'd be less boring once I got to know you, but I don't want to take that chance. Looking at you, Darwin would NOT be pleased to see how inefficiently evolution sometimes works. Maybe you wouldn't be such a Jerk-In-The-Box if you didn't eat all those paint chips and lead pencils when you were a kid; if your weren't so fat that when God said "Let there be Light", he told you to move your fat ass out of the way, or if you weren't uglier than the north-facing end of a south-bound mule. No, come to think of it, you would.

Anyway, I'm not really good with fools, but a friend who is good with fools wrote something down for me. "Ignorance is a Bliss"

When i say i quite busy to do so... i meant... i don't have time to manipulate with words and defend myself...

and when i say i dont want you guys to do "THINGS" it means.. i dont want you guys to make a BIG CHANGE IN THE SYSTEM.. just do small bit on personal level!!..

Hopefully i suppose you would give up on bickering like a small kid.. and try to think about what i said..
